Once again GE Starr has passed its environmental audit.

Our environmental auditor said in his report:

“The Company owners and senior management continue to demonstrate commitment towards maintaining the system and environmental compliance, whilst developing, manufacturing and supplying products in line with customer requirements, without losing sight of the need for environmental improvement through their ethos and pragmatic approach in managing the business.

Continuous improvement in all aspects of the operation has seen significant over the last several years and this has an on-going benefit to the business. This is supported by the Company’s approach to maintaining its infrastructure, environment and machinery, with improvements to overall production processes and premises demonstrated. A satisfactory visit, continued certification to ISO 14001-2004 is recommended. “

We have already laid out plans to secure accreditation to ISO 14001:2015 the latest environmental standard and additionally a new accreditation for us in health and safety, OHSAS 18001. We hope to achieve these later in the year, so watch this space!
