Following the successful introduction during 2016 of our closure products for our prestigious luxury car maker customer, we now have confirmation that we have secured orders for similar assemblies for the next vehicle model due into production later this year.

We are one year on from the pre-production phase of one of our prestigious customer’s latest production vehicles. We have successfully transitioned through ramp up and are now settled into full production, which is the accumulation of 2 years hard work. All products are assembled here on site in Wolverhampton and include 8 hinges using aluminium castings and aluminium and stainless steel forgings and 4 latch assemblies using metal pressings manufactured in our own press shop. This work is due to run for 5 + years and is great news for us and all our suppliers.

We have quoted and won further work on the next model vehicle and are presently busy quoting additional work and tooling.

Once again GE Starr has passed its environmental audit.

Our environmental auditor said in his report:

“The Company owners and senior management continue to demonstrate commitment towards maintaining the system and environmental compliance, whilst developing, manufacturing and supplying products in line with customer requirements, without losing sight of the need for environmental improvement through their ethos and pragmatic approach in managing the business.

GE Starr has successfully completed the first pre-production phase of a suite of new components for a major niche volume car producer. These include hinges and latching systems for their latest luxury vehicle going on sale later this year.
